Erik- One month old!

Erik is one month old today. He is gaining weight and weighs 1 lb. 15 oz. He got several visitors today on his one month birthday. Me, of course, Grandma Ellis, big brother, Christopher (15), and Renee Wiggins. His other big brother, Justin, was sick and unable to see him today. We are thankful that he is doing well.

Nothing new

There nothing new to post today. Erik is still doing well. I will go and see him tomorrow and hopefully post some new pictures. The nurses said if he continues to do well like he is, then possibly by Monday or Tuesday, he can weigh 2 lbs!!! Thanks for your prayers.

ERIK IS DOING WELL!
WOW! As of yesterday, Erik weighed 1 lb. 10.9 oz. So basically, he's 1 lb. 11 oz!! He is finally gaining weight steadily and not losing it. He is receiving 5 cc of breastmilk now whereas before he was only getting 3 cc of milk. God is soooo good and Erik is growing. I can hardly wait to see him again on Saturday. (As long as Justin is not still sick). Thanks for praying.

Today Erik is 3 1/2 weeks old. He weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. the last time they weighed him. He ended up with two infections last week, but with the help of antibiotics, is on his way to recovery. I am thankful to the Lord for his protection for this baby. I am starting to relax and enjoy the fact that he has joined our family and that it looks like he will get to stay with us here on earth.

Erik's 1st day

Here is baby Erik on his first day outside the womb. He came 3 months early and weighed a mere 1 lb. 3 oz. and was 12 inches long. He was so tiny it was quite shocking to see him at first. His hands and feet were so small, yet so perfect. The nurses used saran wrap to act as a second layer of skin, but he got too hot and they had to take it off. He gave us quite a scare coming so early but he is amazing us!
